Privacy policy
This policy explains how CUCKOO and this support website handle information. You do not need to create an account to play.
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Who is responsible
The Android game is published by ANKAMARC GRUP INSAAT OTOMOTIV SANAYI VE TICARET LIMITED SIRKETI (ANKAMARC), Gazi Mahallesi, Bozcaada Sokak, No: 14, Yenimahalle, Ankara 06170, Türkiye. The iOS game is published by Ömer Faruk Bozkurt. Contact either publisher about CUCKOO privacy at info@ankamarc.com; include whether you use Android or iOS so your request reaches the relevant publisher.
Information kept on your device
CUCKOO stores your progress, earned mastery badges and feathers, match history totals, preferences, language, consent choices, advertising frequency records and a randomly generated installation identifier locally. The installation identifier supports online room reconnection; it is not derived from a hardware identifier. If you enable optional game analytics, the game records diagnostic play events in a local file. This local analytics option does not upload that file automatically.
Online play
When you use an online room, our game service receives the installation identifier, player label, room code, game version, match commands and connection information, including your IP address. The service uses this information to run matches, reconnect players and protect against abuse. Other players in the same room see one of ten predefined bird aliases and match actions. Your personal profile name remains on your device and is not sent to online rooms. The current game has no account sign-in or free-text chat. Do not include unnecessary personal information in reports.
Advertisements and Google
CUCKOO uses Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). Ads may be personalized within the choices described here. On iOS, CUCKOO asks for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before ads are requested; if you allow tracking, Google may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to personalize and measure ads, and if you decline, the IDFA is not available and ads are not based on tracking. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, Google may use your device's Android Advertising ID to personalize and measure ads; you can reset or delete it at any time in Android Settings > Privacy > Ads (on some devices Settings > Google > Ads), after which ads are no longer based on that ID. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, UMP asks for your choices first. Whatever you choose, Google may still process IP address and approximate location inferred from it, app/device-bounded identifiers, ad views and interactions, and diagnostic/performance information for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. We do not send your local progress or game installation identifier to AdMob as a custom advertising identifier. There are no in-app purchases in the current release.
Consent and your choices
Where required, UMP asks for your privacy choices before ads can be requested. You can revisit advertising privacy options from the game's Settings when that option is required for your region. You can also use your operating system's privacy and advertising controls. Declining or withdrawing an optional consent does not require buying anything to continue playing. Non-personalized ads can still require consent for storage or other processing; they are not a consent exemption.
Support and this website
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to handle your request. This website has no analytics tags, advertising, account forms or tracking cookies. Firebase Hosting/Google Cloud processes request and security information to serve it. Our online game infrastructure also uses Google Cloud; operational logs can contain connection information and diagnostics.
Use, sharing and international processing
We process information to provide the game and requested support, maintain security and meet legal obligations, and rely on consent where applicable for advertising or optional processing. Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, service delivery, legitimate security interests, legal obligations and consent apply to those respective purposes. Service providers process data to deliver hosting, networking, email and ads; Google also processes ad data under its own policies. Data may be processed outside your country, including through Google's international infrastructure, subject to applicable safeguards. We do not sell your local game progress.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you clear it or delete the app; device or cloud backups may retain or restore copies. Online room and match state is held in service memory during the room and reconnection lifecycle and is removed when rooms expire or the service closes them. Operational/security logs and support messages can remain after a match, for as long as needed for their security, support or legal purpose. Google's own retention rules apply to data it processes. We do not promise that uninstalling the game deletes third-party or server logs. See the Delete data page to clear local data or request review and deletion of information we can identify.
Young players and your rights
CUCKOO is designed for teenagers and adults, not directed to children under 13. We do not ask for a birth date and do not claim to verify age. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or receive your data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a supervisory authority. Send requests to the contact above; we may ask for information proportionate to verifying and locating the request, never your game password or payment details.
Updates and more information
We update this policy when the game or its data handling changes and show the date above. Google's privacy and advertising information explains its separate processing practices.
